After a lot of consideration, I decided that I needed a carer to help me with my personal care. This was a very hard decision for me but ACAH made it a lot easier than I thought it could be. I never have more than two different carers and they both understand my needs. I would also like to add that they are both very pleasant girls and also trustworthy.
We have been with ACAH for 6 and a half years, they came in to my home when I was ill to help with my son who is 13 and he has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and epilepsy. I found it very hard to stand back and allow strangers care for my son but the girls who came were lovely and made me feel at ease. We have had the same 3 girls for all this time which is great as my son knows and loves them and they know and care for him. Through rain, hail or snow the girls have got here. They give my son the respect and dignity he deserves even though he is just a child. I don’t leave my son with just anyone die to his medical needs but I feel I can do so when needed I can pop out if needed when they are here.
Andrea’s team of carers have been attending my husband (Stan) since January 2016, of which I have found them to be very courteous, professional and reliable showing respect to both Stan and myself at this difficult time.
My mum is 90 years old and now has Alzheimer’s. My wife and I approached ACAH in December 2016 and immediately felt reassured by the care and attention to detail they offer. ACAH have delivered not only an excellent care package for mum, but have always been available for any advice, to arrange visits for mum, and shown excellent communication standard, that I feel are incredibly important.
We have three lovely ladies come in to help my mum with dementia. They are always friendly and very helpful and are great with dealing with my mum. We laugh and joke to keep things light hearted. Would recommend to others for their help and kindness.
We have been using them for only a month or two and have got on very well, like they have been coming for years. They keep a good time, when they say they are coming etc. Dorothy say you will need to look no further.
I came home from hospital 11 months after taking ill. I have neurological problems and have a P.E.G fitted which is my life-line, my MED’s and fluids are fed in to this. I require expert care and was told ACAH would care for me, they are amazing and compassionate, nothing is too much trouble, even coming out at 3am to assist me. ACAH also give that valuable support between me and my doctor if they are concerned about my health they will contact my doctor. My husband and family feel relaxed with ACAH around, also knowing they are at the end of a telephone for a chat and a laugh.
Thank you to all the staff looking after me so well for so many years. Its lovely to have familiar faces every day.
Asking or trying to find someone to look after my elderly relative is emotional, a statement that says ‘you can’t cope’. It requires carers with empathy to do the job as if it was their own relative. We have used ACAH for over 4 years, twice a day, every day, 365 days of the year. They are consistent, flexible, kind and most importantly, care with dignity. My mum enjoys her time and care, never has a bad word and is extremely grateful. They even let the dogs out! I could not recommend ACAH highly enough, peace of mind, trust and compassion make our caring roll manageable.
We are only too pleased to give a testimonial as to the performance of ACAH. We are very happy with the service provided, the girls are friendly, happy and provide excellent care of my 91 year old father.
I have been using ACAH for 10 years now. And have had a very good service. They do loads for me and come twice a day every day. After doing my care they always sit with me afterwards and chat.
I am very satisfied with the care I am receiving. Very reliable, caring and pleasant. Thank you so much for making the start of my day easy and stress free.
